# Manage your food plan categories

In order **to segment your food plans** for your customers in the app, you can create categories and subcategories.

# Add a category

In the "**Nutrition**" menu of your back office, click on "**Plans**" then on the food plan of your choice. Then click on "**Edit**", then on "**Manage categories**".

By clicking on "**+ Add a category**", you can add as many categories as you want, by entering for each one a name (mandatory and visible to everyone) and an image (optional).

# Add a sub-category

In the "**Nutrition**" menu of your back office, click on "**Plans**" then on the food plan of your choice. Then click on "**Edit**", then on "**Manage categories**". Then click on "**Add a parent category**", then on "**Create a parent category**".

The name of the **parent category** will then be the name of your large category, and the name of the category below will be that of the **subcategory**.

Remember to save to create and use the categories later.

# Assign a category to a food plan

In the "**Nutrition**" menu of your back office, click on "**Plans**" then on the food plan of your choice. Then click on "**Edit**" and scroll down to the bottom of the edit page.

Then choose the category or categories of your choice.
